Hosting an event but not sure where to start? The Midwest Big Data Innovation Hub has created an “Event in a Box” tool kit that will guide you through the event-planning process. Hosting an event is one of the most visible ways to educate and promote the important work that one is doing. This Event in a Box tool kit can help you plan and promote your own event!

The Event in a Box was designed to bring all the event-planning aspects into one location, from the event timeline to budget management and much more! As most events are moving towards hybrid (i.e., virtual and in-person) presentation, we have provided tips and tools on how to navigate the planning of in-person events while hosting virtual audiences at the same time.

The Event in a Box should be used as a guideline through the planning process, with the knowledge that not all events are the same, and checklists and timelines can and should be altered to fit each event.
